That Day In The Life Of A Day Trader


The stock market day traders to wake up in the morning before the market opening. They flip on the lights in their home office, turn on their multi-screen computer, log on to their day trading software and start planning the day. By day of trading strategies they use, they can go on the websites of financial news, connecting with the Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR system, or simply open the Financial Times today.

Around 9:30 Eastern time, sit in their seats and prepare for the day. For operators more days, no lunch breaks, as Gordon Gekko said it so well in the 1987 film Wall Street, "lunch is for wimps." No coffee breaks, no toilet Nothing.

Well, some may break, but many are so intensely focused that you do not even notice the time to go. You see, one day of trading success requires tremendous concentration. Before you realize it is 04:00 ET, and the trading day is over. They may be trading a few positions still open, but most are closed. Now it's time to evaluate the shops today.

It 'been able to win the day, or lose the day. Both happen when you are day trading for a living. In the end, you have to have more days to win than lose days. And you have to win more money than to lose it.
